SEAMLESS IMPLEMENTATION OF TAX LAWS: CAC, TAX REFORMS COMMITTEE JOIN FORCES

In a bid to ensure smooth, effective implementation of Nigeria’s new tax laws, the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee have agreed to strengthen collaboration.

The announcement came today following a high-level meeting between Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN, Registrar-General and CEO of CAC, and Taiwo Oyedele, Chair of the Tax Reforms Committee, at Oyedele’s office in Abuja. The two bodies discussed strategies to streamline implementation mechanisms, forge the necessary synergies for the reforms to succeed.

Both parties emphasized that closer cooperation is essential to achieving the desired outcomes of Nigeria’s evolving tax landscape. In a related update, the CAC revealed plans to celebrate its 35th anniversary starting February 9, 2026, marking over three decades of regulatory and corporate governance achievements.
