South Korea’s trade Minister has stated that the recently imposed US semiconductor tariffs are expected to have a limited effect on local chipmakers.
He cautioned, however, that uncertainty persists as Washington could introduce a second phase of tariffs. US President, Donald Trump signed an order late Wednesday, imposing a 25% tariff on certain advanced chips.
