The Presidency has dismissed as false, reports circulating on social media claiming that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has replaced the Chief of Staff, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, with the Principal Private Secretary, Hakeem Muri-Okunola.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency described the claim as a fabrication, urged Nigerians to disregard it entirely.

“There is absolutely no truth to this story,” the statement said, stressing that both officials remain in their respective positions.

According to the Presidency, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila continues to serve as Chief of Staff to the President, while Hakeem Muri-Okunola remains the Principal Private Secretary.

The statement attributed the viral report to “mischievous purveyors of fake news” whose intention, it said, is to create unnecessary tension and disharmony within the government.

The Presidency also cautioned media organizations and social media users to always verify information before publishing or sharing, reiterating its commitment to transparency, accurate public communication.
