President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, goodwill as Christians across the country celebrate Christmas.
In his 2025 Christmas goodwill message, the President said the birth of Jesus Christ is a reminder of love, hope, grace, salvation, describing Christ as the Prince of Peace, whose message remains relevant in today’s world.
President Tinubu extended Christmas greetings to Christians in Nigeria, around the world, thanking God for the opportunity to serve the nation, praying for peace, particularly among people of different religious beliefs.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment towards protecting religious freedom, ensuring the safety of Nigerians of all faiths, stressing that no one should suffer discrimination or violence because of their beliefs.
The President commended Christians for their contributions towards national development, especially their role in caring for the vulnerable, promoting peace, harmony, tolerance in the society.
He assured Nigerians that since assuming office in 2023, his government has remained steadfast in its commitment towards safeguarding the nation’s security, unity, stability, adding that all citizens have the right to live, worship in safety and dignity.

President Tinubu also disclosed that his administration has continued engagements with religious leaders to address concerns over insecurity and intolerance, with plans to strengthen collaboration to promote peaceful coexistence.
As Nigerians travel during the festive period, the President urged motorists to be patient, disciplined on the roads, wishing travellers a safe journey and return.
He expressed optimism that with faith in God and collective effort, Nigeria would continue on the path of progress.
President Tinubu concluded by wishing Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year in advance.
