PAPIRI SCHOOL ABDUCTION: RELIEF AS NIGER GOV. RECEIVES RESCUED 130 STUDENTS FROM FG

The Niger state, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago has received the remaining 130 children and teachers of Saint Mary’s Catholic School Papiri, rescued from their abductors in Agwara Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor appreciated God Almighty for the safe return of the children, however thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser, other security agencies and all others who participated in the rescue mission.

He assured that they will be handed over to their families immediately to enable them celebrate the yuletide season with their families, adding that their return brings relief to a harrowing chapter.

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu represented by the National Coordinator, National Counter Terrorism Center, Major General Adamu Garba Laka, while handing over the rescued children said it was as a result of the directive of President Bola Tinubu and the intense, coordinated operations of the NSA in conjunction with SSS, Armed forces, police and other security agencies respectively.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the office of the NSA will ensure the security of every Nigerian

The Governor received the rescued students and teachers of Saint Mary’s Catholic School Papiri, in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger state held at the government house, Minna.
