2027 is not next year. However, because of politics, government, or the lack of it in Nigeria, it suddenly seem so. Were it possible, Nigerians ever in haste would have preferred to fast-forward to the year. That is, we would have wanted next year to be 2027. Really, technically, 2027 is next year; 2026 will more or less be 2027 in character and in spirit.
Meaning, we can discuss 2026 and 2027 together simultaneously, interchangeably. After all, one is the build-up while the other is the end of discussion. One is when the signals and signs of things to come start flying about, the other is when the world would see the result of the tumultuous pregnancy of four years. It is in 2026 and 2027 that Nigerians would get to see firsthand, if compatriot politicians have learnt anything from the past enough to curtail all the greed and desperation we have known them for.
To be sure, one does not need to mention the name or the mind of God in this matter. It is what it is. We all know that what it is is what it is. We could not have handed over the entire process to Satan but turn around, every time, to expect God to manipulate that same process for our good.
Dear bad people of Nigeria, these things do not work like that. You cannot plant palm trees, during harvest expect crude oil. No sane person expects crude oil, you drill it. Crude oil is not palm oil.
That though, is how the mind of all dishonourable men, women and children of power in Nigeria works. They sow weed, go about praying, hoping to reap wheat. They sow confusion all over the land but they are in church, sundry places of worship every other time to mouth how God shall do this or that because He is not an Author of confusion. Is that not witchcraft?
Dishonourable Nigerian men, women and children choose to forget or claim not to know that God is not a magician. They want to be reminded or taught all the time that God works miracles, not magic. They hardly remember that man cannot live by miracles – or expect them every day, miracles would not be miracles if they were predictably regular. Miracles are God’s prerogative, only He determines who benefits per time, where, when and how.
As we approach 2026, which is the window to 2027, it is important to have this understanding; It is important to understand how these things work, going forward. It is important to understand, for instance, that Nigeria cannot keep using Stone Age methods but cry a river when it does not achieve New Age realities. Our dishonourable men, women, children of power cannot keep wounding and re-wounding Nigeria but keep throwing up hands in the air, lamenting why the country cannot or move forward.

Take a look at the politics that only happens in Nigeria. Politics Nigeriana is about self; about cabals, about camps, about survival; about today, about winning elections. Woe betide you if you are not intimidated or timid enough to align spirit, body and soul. In broad daylight, politics Nigeriana dehumanizes our people: men lose their manhood, therefore their dignity, their joy, their respect just to feel among.
One party system is no more an anathema. Now, you have to join up or perish. Now, you have to speak from both sides of your mouth.
Unfortunately, the very same people kept by nature to ensure that this never happens are all over the place pulling strings, cheering on nay-doers, and generally being taken good care of – if at all.
Alas, even the blind can see that the Nigerian ship of state is approaching dangerous shores. That reality is made worse by the fact that even those who should be weeping, cursing are instead laughing and blessing – thus emboldening the oppressors. It all seems as a scene from a horror movie. It all seems as if the Nigerian situation is beyond redemption.
So, what should we expect – seeing we cannot help ourselves? This prophet, sorry, this writer can confirm to you that a mighty hand has entered the matter. However, this massive hand not being given to evil shall assume a passive role to allow the tiny hand – who is the father of everything evil – to steal from all those who steal, to kill all those who kill, to destroy all those who destroy. There is going to be no hiding place for anybody, everybody known to hold our people down.
Mark those words down. Political judgement has landed this land. Remember when this space wrote for Gov. Sim Fubara to not shake because help was coming? That help came but even he, who is probably Nigeria’s most underrated governor, never saw it as help.
Help is coming to Nigeria and Nigerians. Help like never before experienced, felt or seen. It will come in the way, shape or form of politics since that is the core of the Nigerian problem, it will generate succour over all of our multisectoral dilemmas. 2027 is no ordinary year – it might not even be!
That is a huge prophecy, do not miss it. I am not going to dwell on it though, because my spiritual father, Global Ba’aba, Dr Abel Damina, has taught me that it is a word – not sentences- of knowledge. Whatever happens in 2027, God’s real people should rest assured that the Devil and company shall not have an upper hand -head or tail. His agents are going to fall, like packs of cards.
In fact, that is how you would know whose agents most of these Egyptians you see today are/were. Please, write that down so you remember to add and subtract, to compare and contrast, once these things begin to appear in the human realm. Well, some of these things are already in session. Men, women, children of power who thought themselves political principalities are suddenly realizing that their feet were -all along – made of clay and that they were -all this while – standing on sinking sand.
Their ad hoc groans, suppressed as they are, remain deafening to even the deaf who can hear without ears. I can hear them loud and clear, myself: can you? There is too much gnashing of teeth, mourning ongoing in the camp of people who were given small power by God; people who suddenly began to believe the lie that they could do and undo, that they could kill both the body and the soul. To their chagrin, they – who do not even have the authority to kill the body let alone the one they cannot see nor understand – have seen their so-called power come too soon to a sorry pass, a final cul-de-sac from which only our merciful God can help.
They are legion, those scoundrels who pose as saints. They are the meanest, the pettiest. They use power or money or both to operate, or oppress God’s real people, in deceit. They appear and brag everywhere that they are light but every other action and every word of theirs carry or convey darkness.

Sssh, all of them and the like are surely coming to the beautiful gate of a horrible terminus. God’s people whom they despised and hated are going to see it. In addition, we are going to become their help. Do you understand that?: you are going to be in a position to help those who refused in their time to help you.
Beware, this is not to target the enemy you think you know. Chances are they could be clean before God. Satan can do absolutely nothing to such ones. Satan’s soft targets are those who have done evil and who would rather die than change.
They are going down. Anybody in power or eyeing power who believes in man more than they do, in God. Their place will soon be empty. Man cannot and should not make another man their God, God forbid.
Furthermore, good small shall soon transform into a big nation and bad big shall transmogrify into infinitesimal -mathematically speaking. The hand of bogus big – that is, big by false pretence- shall no more perform evil enterprise. Ditto, those who reward good with evil: evil shall forever use their abode as permanent headquarters. That is by no means a prayer. It is just what it is: the word!
Yesterday, I attended church at United Evangelical Church (founded as Qua Iboe Church) located on Funso Williams Avenue, Surulere, Lagos. It was the 2025 service of nine lessons and carols. The theme centred around light and whether it was the message by resident pastor, Rev. Samuel Iwok, or the music by the different choirs, everything shone brightly. Even the speeches by Akwa Ibom state former governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, who attended with wife, Martha, Plateau state governor, Mr Caleb Mutfwang, who served as special guest, Osun state governor, Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke, and Ooni of Ife, Oba Ojaja, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, among others all tilted towards light.
As you go about looking for whatever and wherever, look also for light. The light that darkness cannot comprehend. It is the presence of God. You cannot not need the light of God, to survive what is coming.
God bless Nigeria!
