Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the commencement of a one-month exercise for the revalidation of all land allocations earlier revoked by the state.
This follows the Notice of Revocation of all Land Allocations made from May 29, 2023, which was issued on August 25, 2025.
In a statement dated November 27, 2025, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Uko Essien Udom, SAN, said the Ministry of Lands and Town Planning has begun receiving documents from affected persons.

According to the statement, members of the public who were allotted land within the affected period are required to present their allocation letters or other proofs of title to the Revalidation Committee at the Ministry’s Conference Room, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo.
The exercise will run daily from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., between December 1 and December 31, 2025.
The government urged all concerned individuals and organisations to take advantage of the window to regularise their land records.
