The Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday, November 27, 2025, arraigned Archbishop Angel Oyeghe, founder of Faith Healing Ministry, before Justice Hyeladzira Ajiya Ngangjiwa of the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State.
Oyeghe was arraigned on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and abuse of the Nigerian currency, contrary to the provisions of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act.

According to the EFCC, the cleric allegedly conspired with others to mishandle and spray naira notes during a public event, an act considered an offence under the law.
The anti-graft agency stated that the offence undermines the integrity of the national currency.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.
