The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory sitting in Maitama has ordered Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, to produce his American passport in court as proceedings continue in a $2.1 million land dispute.

Justice Sylvanus Oriji issued the order on Tuesday following an application by counsel to the claimants, Hamza Dantani, during Jordan’s cross-examination.

The suit, marked CV/008/2026, was instituted by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited against Jordan.

The claimants allege that they approached Jordan for assistance in acquiring land in the Federal Capital Territory and that he agreed to facilitate the acquisition of 30 hectares in Katampe and another 30 hectares in Guzape.

They further allege that $2.1 million was paid in connection with the proposed transaction.

Jordan has denied the allegations.

During cross-examination, Jordan was asked about his whereabouts on September 26, 2025, a date relevant to the disputed transaction.

He told the court that he was outside Nigeria and said he had travelled using his American passport.

Following his testimony, the claimants’ counsel applied for an order directing Jordan to produce the passport before the court.

Justice Oriji granted the application and ordered him to present the document.

The court also directed Jordan to write his full name and signature five times each on a plain sheet of paper as part of proceedings concerning disputed documents.

The claimants’ case is also connected to an alleged joint venture involving the proposed construction of 24 six-bedroom detached duplexes on land in Guzape New Extension and Katampe New Extension.

Jordan has denied receiving the alleged $2.1 million and disputed documents relied upon by the claimants.

The court adjourned the matter until Wednesday for continuation of proceedings.

The order directing Jordan to produce his passport and provide handwriting sample forms part of the evidentiary process in the ongoing case and does not amount to a finding that the allegations against him have been established.
