Manchester City’s owners and senior officials could face scrutiny under the Premier League’s ownership and directors’ rules following reports that the club was found guilty of 114 of the 115 financial charges brought against it.

Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak told supporters on Saturday that the club remained confident despite reports concerning the independent commission’s findings.
“The Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the Club’s innocence is just as strong as when this began,” Al Mubarak said.
The chairman added that confidentiality requirements prevented the club from publicly disclosing details supporting its position.

Depending on the outcome of the disciplinary proceedings, sanctions available under Premier League regulations could include financial penalties, points deductions or other regulatory and sporting measures.
