Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, Comrade Nsibiet John, has expressed the Union’s readiness to partner Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic in promoting excellence through the forthcoming Akwapoly Media Award (AMA) 2.0.
Comrade John gave the assurance when he received the SUG Director of Information, Comrade Unwana Peter, in his office in Uyo.
He commended the students for their innovation, commitment and passion for leadership development, describing the initiative as a laudable effort that aligns with the NUJ’s vision of nurturing young communicators and promoting professionalism in the media industry.
The NUJ Chairman further assured the delegation of the Union’s full support and participation in the award event, encouraging them to remain consistent, creative and focused on building a vibrant media culture within the Polytechnic community.
SUG Director of Information, Comrade Unwana Peter, congratulated the NUJ Chairman on his emergence and appreciated his open-mindedness toward youth-driven media initiatives.
She also sought the Union’s partnership and support ahead of the Akwapoly Media Award, slated for December.
