The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has inducted 250 foreign-trained medical and dental graduates who successfully passed the June 2026 Assessment Examination, clearing them to practise their professions in Nigeria.

The induction took place during the Council’s Pledge-Taking and Sponsorship Ceremony held in Abuja.

The newly inducted professionals comprise 238 medical doctors and 12 dental surgeons, who formally joined Nigeria’s healthcare workforce after meeting the Council’s licensing requirements.

The ceremony marks a significant milestone in the graduates’ professional journey and underscores the MDCN’s commitment to maintaining standards in medical and dental practice through its assessment and licensing process.

The induction authorises the graduates to begin professional practice in Nigeria, contributing to the country’s efforts to strengthen healthcare service delivery.

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria regulates the training, registration and practice of medical and dental professionals in the country.
