— Sir Micah Jonah
The Vision Driving McJosnah Group
RismadarVoice: Sir Micah Jonah, McJosnah Group is rapidly gaining attention across multiple industries. What drives this extraordinary journey?
Sir Micah Jonah: For me, business has always been about vision, faith, and service. I started from humble beginnings selling vegetables and fruits, but I had a purpose to create something that would outlive me.
From the beginning, I understood that business is not only about profit; it’s about impact. Every company we build must solve a real problem whether helping a farmer access affordable machinery or giving journalists a platform for truth.
Today, McJosnah Group is active across four major sectors manufacturing, real estate, transport, and media and truthfully, we’re only getting started.
Manufacturing: Building Africa’s Machines
RismadarVoice: Let’s begin with McJosnah Motors/Vessels Ltd. What’s the next chapter for that company?
Sir Micah Jonah: McJosnah Motors/Vessels Ltd has grown beyond distribution. We’re entering our next phase, global manufacturing.
We’re setting up a manufacturing plant in China to produce tractors in our first phase. Agriculture is the heartbeat of Africa’s economy, and we want to be at the center of that growth.
Later, we’ll expand into oil & gas machinery, construction equipment, and marine vessels. Our target is to make McJosnah a globally recognized African brand built on innovation, integrity, and quality.
“We’ve distributed for years; now it’s time to build.”
— Sir Micah Jonah
Real Estate: Building Sustainable Homes
RismadarVoice: What’s next for McJosnah Estates and Structures Ltd?
Sir Micah Jonah: Our focus is affordable, sustainable, and elegant housing. We’re finalizing due process with the FCT Administration to launch a landmark estate in Abuja featuring 100 units of 2- and 3-bedroom flats with BQs, developed in partnership with a top Abuja developer.
But it’s not just about buildings; it’s about lifestyle and sustainability. We’re integrating eco-friendly designs, renewable energy systems, and smart home features.
“It’s not just construction, it’s creating sustainable, beautiful spaces for families to grow.”
Media & Service: The Rismadar Vision
RismadarVoice: Rismadar Co. Ltd seems very close to your heart. Tell us more.
Sir Micah Jonah: Absolutely. Rismadar is the heart and voice of our Group. It combines media, hospitality, and healthcare three sectors that directly touch people’s lives.
The Rismadarvoice Newspaper/media is our first step a platform for African stories told with integrity. It’s not just about headlines; it’s about truth, transformation, and empowerment.
We’re also developing Rismadar Voice TV and Radio, and planning boutique hotels and community health projects to serve people at every level.
“We’re building a brand that speaks, heals, and serves.”
Transport: The Engine of Commerce
RismadarVoice: Tell us about your transport arm, Sterlade Transporters Ltd.
Sir Micah Jonah: Transport drives every economy. Sterlade Transporters Ltd is designed to simplify movement of goods, people, and ideas.
We started with two flatbed trucks and two executive vehicles, recently added 20 motorcycles for mail and courier services, and have opened freight routes from China to Nigeria.
Our five-year plan includes launching jet charter services for corporate clients and individuals. We’re building a system that’s fast, reliable, and truly African in spirit.
“Whether it’s moving cargo or CEOs, we’ll do it excellently and efficiently.”
Leadership, Balance & Purpose
RismadarVoice: You lead five companies with distinct missions. What keeps you grounded?
Sir Micah Jonah: Purpose. I don’t build for applause; I build for impact and legacy. My goal is to prove that an African business, built with honesty and vision, can compete globally.
Leadership, for me, is service. It’s about empowering others, guiding teams, and making sacrifices to move the mission forward.
“We build not just to succeed but to empower others to rise.”
The African Opportunity
RismadarVoice: What do you see as the biggest challenge and opportunity for African entrepreneurs today?
Sir Micah Jonah: The biggest challenge is mindset not resources. We have ideas but lack systems and consistency. However, the opportunity in Africa today is unmatched in energy, logistics, food security, and digital infrastructure.
My advice: stop waiting for perfect conditions. Start with what you have. Stay consistent, stay honest, and collaborate. No one builds greatness alone.
A Message to the Next Generation
RismadarVoice: Finally, what message do you have for aspiring African entrepreneurs?
Sir Micah Jonah: Start now. Believe in your dream. Don’t compromise your values for short-term success. Build beyond yourself, create institutions, not just income.
“Africa is not a project, it’s a promise.”
The world is waiting for what only Africans can build.
