Governor Siminalayi Fubara has commended Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, for the implementation of the Renewed Hope Initiative Social Investment Programme across the country.
The governor gave the commendation during a courtesy visit by representatives of the First Lady to the Government House in Port Harcourt ahead of activities connected to the Renewed Hope Initiative programme in Rivers State.

Represented by Deputy Governor Ngozi Nma Odu, Fubara said the intervention programme has continued to positively impact the lives of women, vulnerable persons, and other Nigerians across different communities.
He noted that the initiative has been effective in delivering support directly to beneficiaries without unnecessary administrative delays.
The governor also acknowledged the First Lady’s commitment to humanitarian support and social welfare, describing the programme as a significant contribution to improving the living conditions of ordinary Nigerians.
Speaking during the visit, the First Lady, represented by former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, said the visit to Rivers State reflected Senator Tinubu’s compassion for vulnerable groups and commitment to social development.
Edu assured residents of the First Lady’s continued support for initiatives aimed at empowering women and improving the welfare of citizens.

She further stated that President Bola Tinubu remains committed to the growth, development, and overall progress of Rivers State.
