The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially resumed its electronic membership registration exercise across Nigeria, marking a renewed effort by the ruling party to modernize its membership database, strengthen internal democratic processes.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday 1st April, 2026 and signed by Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary in Abuja, the APC announced that the digital registration initiative will take place in all wards and designated centers nationwide.

He said the exercise is open to both existing members seeking to validate their membership and new members interested in joining the party.

According to the statement, the e-registration initiative is part of the party’s broader strategy to digitize and streamline its membership records. By adopting electronic registration, the APC aims to improve data accuracy, ensure the integrity of membership records, and enhance accessibility to information necessary for planning and decision-making within the party.

“The All Progressives Congress (APC) announces the resumption of its electronic membership registration exercise,” the statement read. “As the electronic membership registration exercise resumes in all wards and designated locations nationwide, we urge existing members to validate their membership while new members are encouraged to register and join the progressive family.”

The party also clarified eligibility requirements for prospective registrants. Individuals wishing to enroll must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN), a measure designed to align party registration with Nigeria’s national identity verification system.

Party members and prospective registrants are expected to visit their respective ward registration centers or designated locations as the exercise continues nationwide.
