Dana Eden, the 52-year-old Israeli producer and creator of the hit spy thriller series “Tehran,” was found dead in a hotel room in Athens, Greece, on Sunday, authorities said. A relative discovered her body after repeated failed attempts to contact her.
Greek police are treating the case as a suspected suicide. Investigators found pills at the scene and a coroner noted bruises on Eden’s neck.
“This is a moment of great sorrow for the family, friends, and colleagues,” said her production company, Donna and Shula Productions. The company also dismissed rumours suggesting a criminal or politically motivated death, urging the public and media should avoid spreading unverified claims.
Eden was in Greece to film the fourth season of“Tehran,” according to Israeli media outlet Kan. The investigations into the circumstances of her death are ongoing.
