Former Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to celebrate Valentine’s Day responsibly by showing love through action.
In a message posted on his X page on Saturday, titled “Nigeria Needs Our Love in Action”, Obi emphasized that love is not just emotion, but also sacrifice, discipline, honesty, compassion, and devotion to the common good.
He encouraged citizens to renew their love for one another and for the nation, stressing that a country thrives when nurtured with care and dedication. Obi highlighted that loving Nigeria involves promoting fair elections, rejecting corruption, greed, and division, and supporting leaders with integrity and competence.
The former presidential candidate further called on Nigerians to extend love beyond politics, urging them to strengthen families, communities, and the nation through constructive actions. He concluded, “A new Nigeria is possible when love becomes action.”
