A fatal accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday, December 9 claimed three lives, left several seriously injured, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has confirmed.
In a statement posted on its official X handle on Wednesday, LASTMA said the collision occurred near the Secretariat, heading towards the Otedola Bridge, involved three vehicles.

“Three vehicles were involved in the collision, resulting in three fatalities and several serious injuries.
“LASAMBUS personnel are on the scene, providing medical attention to the injured victims” the agency said.
Emergency responders from the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) attended to the injured, while LASTMA officers and personnel of the Nigerian Police Force managed traffic and ensured public safety.
Efforts are ongoing to clear the crash site, restore normal traffic flow. Motorists have been advised to exercise caution when approaching the area.
